Tour Of Wiltshire Part 2

The BARGE INN IN IN IN HONEYSTREET…

RAUCOUS. SWEATY. BOHEMIAN. ANYTHING WENT & so it DID… including all of Badger’s mandolin D strings, Alex’s bass spike and a DOG was SO FRUSTRATED BECAUSE SNOUT WAS NOT ON THE SETLIST that he sabotaged Badger’s harmonium. WITH HIS PAWS. He then looked all innocent and he was very FLUFFY like ALL dogs and we loved him for it in the end. Possibly. Yeah. CHEERS ZED.

Our first ever FOLK MOSHPIT ensued, and it turns out that although the Railways replaced most of the CANALS, our song about Beeching’s pit of EVIL was still roundly LOVED.

Amazing & beautiful crowd… and apparently some folks from The Beehive in Swindon STALKED US.

Thank you xxx

Sorry.. no pics on this one.. but if you have em.. email us at mod(dot)folk(at)gmail(dot)com xx

Tour of Wiltshire Part One

Yes, our EPIC tour of WILTSHIRE continues.

Last night, it was THE BEEHIVE in SWINDON. This beauteous PUBLIC HOUSE is firmly one of The Model Folk’s FAVOURITE PLACES. This is due to the BEAUTIFUL crowd & LACK OF MELANCHOLY. We also observed that the regulars have excellent DEPORTMENT and MANNERS.

Badger thanks FRANKIE for making him TEA A LOT

Somebody called Alan, who claims to know us, but we secretly tied his shoelaces together and didn’t tell him, took some DAGUERROTYPES of us. Here are SOME.

NEXT UP.

The BARGE INN @ HONEYSTREET – a TRIUMPHANT RETURN!

Weekend Report #2 Burnham Folk Festival

Ha ha. In WHICH a Folk band masqueraded as a FOLK REGGAE band because WE CAN AND YOU CANNOT.

We had a big WOBBLING BAG OF FUN at this one… a superb crowd and crew xxx

It is a great festival. You will attend this each year.

Some photos with THANKS and LOVE to Michael Richard Price for his ability to record them.

Weekend Report #3 Stroud Fringe @ The Crown & Sceptre

This was a HIT & RUN Acoustic set IN THE HOT SUN (!) to an unsuspecting crowd at The Crown & Sceptre. This pub is ruled with a fist of pure tin by the Cornish Legend Known As Rodda.

We played our little hearts out. We flirted with everyone. We stood on the tables. We did not break them.

During SNOUT, a doggie barked with the crowd. He did not STOP barking. But he is allowed as he is a DOG.

We had a lovely time…
